VolkerWessels UK is to retain the National Centre for Diversity's Investors in Diversity Standard for a further two years, having previously achieved accreditation in 2019.
Investors in Diversity recognises the work of an organisation in improving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion practices in the workplace, and acknowledges VolkerWessels UK’s ongoing commitment to maintaining to an inclusive working environment. The retention follows a thorough reassessment and reaccreditation process.
Confirming the retention, Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity, said: “The Investors in Diversity journey and retention of the standard gives a positive message to all the stakeholders, internal and external, and each person should be congratulated for their input and the success of the organisation.”
Head of sustainability and inclusion, Emma Ward said: “This achievement by our business reflects the progress we have made, and underlines the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion at VolkerWessels UK. Our leadership, our EDI steering group and champions, and people right across our business have all had a part to play in our journey so far, and we look forward to continuing our work to ensure we maintain a working environment where diversity is valued.”
Naomi Connell, chief finance officer, is the board sponsor for EDI at VolkerWessels UK.
