The club, which is close to the homebuilder’s Alconbury Weald development on Senliz Road, is home to Jake Jarman who recently returned from the Paris Olympic Games with a bronze medal in the Men’s Floor event.

Adam Scott, Club Manager at Huntingdon Gymnastics Club, said: “Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is very grateful for the generous donation by David Wilson Homes.  This new piece of equipment, will help to deliver gymnastics to our large community gymnastics programme.”

Huntingdon Gymnastics Club, located off Mayfield Road, offers a variety of sessions for all age groups from Early Years, to teenagers and adults, as well its ‘Gym 4 All’ sessions for those with Special Educational Needs or physical disabilities.

Will Phair, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “As a leading housebuilder we strive to support the communities in and around the areas in which we build, and we are delighted to be able to offer Huntingdon Gymnastics Club this donation.

“Achieving a medal in the Olympics is one of the highest accomplishments possible for an athlete, so we would like to extend our congratulations to Jake and the club. It is our hope that this donation will help prepare the next generation of Olympic hopefuls.”

David Wilson Homes is currently building a selection of two to five bedroom homes at Alconbury Weald, staring at £299,995.

The development will be surrounded by over 700 acres of green space including 200 acres of woodlands, play areas and a 155 acre country park, making it ideal for residents who enjoy exploring nature.

For commuters, the development offers excellent road links to Cambridge, Peterborough and Bedford. As well as this, just a short drive away commuters can take advantage of Huntingdon Railway Station where London St Pancras is accessible in little over an hour.

To find out more about any other developments in the area, call the sales team on 033 3355 8485 or visit the website at David Wilson Homes in Cambridgeshire.
