St. Modwen Logistics, a leading logistics developer and manager, has received an internationally recognised award for demonstrating high health and safety standards across its construction sites for the second year running.
The RoSPA (Royal Society For the Prevention of Accidents) Gold Health and Safety Award is presented to companies that work to ensure their staff, customers, clients, and contractors get home safely to their families at the end of each working day. The award recognises St. Modwen Logistics’ ongoing commitment to overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year nearly 2,000 entrants strive to achieve the highest possible accolade, in what is the UK’s longest-running health and safety industry awards.
Richard Carter, Senior Director of Construction at St. Modwen Logistics, said: “With Construction Safety Week taking place this week, there’s no better time than now to highlight the importance of health and safety in the industry, and we’re very proud to have been awarded a RoSPA Gold Award.”
“In partnership with our contractors, we prioritise health and safety across our construction sites. Achieving the highest rating in 50% of the judging categories, and the second highest rating in the remaining 50%, clearly demonstrates our commitment to this important issue and we look forward to implementing RoSPA’s feedback and further improving our health and safety standards in the future.”
Julia Small, Achievements Director at RoSPA, added: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment for St. Modwen Logistics. All our award entrants demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for keeping people safe at work and, by receiving this recognition, the business joins like-minded businesses worldwide who represent the very best in their approach to health and safety.
“I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that St. Modwen Logistics has taken to secure this well-deserved award and offer my congratulations to all those involved.” For more information, please visit: https://stmodwenlogistics.co.uk/
