GSRM, a joint venture between the UK building and engineering firm Sir Robert McAlpine and Channel Islands based contractor Garenne Construction Group, will be holding a supplier engagement day in Southampton as they search for suppliers and subcontractors for this £42M, three-year project and other Jersey opportunities.
The event, held in partnership with Constructionline, will be held on 3rd December 2018, at the Ageas Suite at the Ageas Bowl Stadium, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, SO30 3XH. The project involves both refurbishment and new build elements to ensure the compliancy of Jersey Airport with safety and security requirements, as well as to add capacity.
The major works are focused on the creation of a new, integrated two-storey arrivals and departures terminal and will include in due course the relocation of the Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting Service building. This is alongside improvements to the aircraft stands and taxiways, demolition of the former Jersey hangar as well as the eventual removal of the existing arrivals terminal building.
