As the 2025-26 season kicks off, Harborough Hornets Netball Club has secured substantial backing from local housebuilder Davidsons Homes. The package enables the team to buy a smart new kit, supported them in renting venues for matches, and helped to pay umpires and coaches – all invaluable contributors to the team’s success.
The Hornets have already started league fixtures, so the timing of the sponsorship means the team benefits immediately from the investment. The team has achieved phenomenal results already, with four wins in four fixtures under their belts.
Simon Tyler, Sales and Marketing Director for Davidsons Homes South, said: “Grassroots sport has huge value in a community like Market Harborough. The Hornets are demonstrating ambition and drive already this season, and we’re pleased to support them as they move into this next chapter. With new kit and backing, the players can focus on their performance which – looking at their track record so far – is clearly working!”
Vice Captain of Harborough Hornets, Amy Hayward, said: “Having Davidsons on board now makes a real difference. We’ve already had the first fixtures and seeing the season underway, the timing is perfect. Playing in these lovely new kits has certainly given us all a boost – which is reflected in the results we’re achieving too!”
Davidsons Homes currently has three developments in Market Harborough: Davidsons at Little Bowden, including a new phase called Bowden Rise, Wellington Place and Lubenham View, and continues its long-standing commitment to supporting local communities, youth sports and clubs across the region.
