Two show homes at Barratt Homes’ Ashlawn Gardens development in Rugby are offering local property seekers the very latest interior design inspiration.
The show homes were expertly designed and styled by well-known interior designers, Edward Thomas Interiors, which means homebuyers can be assured they will be up-to-date with the latest trends.
Ashlawn Gardens is welcoming visitors to explore the four bedroom Hesketh and Woodcroft style homes, which promise to appeal to a range of home buyers.
Andy Richardson, Managing Director at Edward Thomas Interiors, said: “Both the Hesketh and the Woodcroft are three storey properties, so our designs were crafted to be deliberately contrasting. The Hesketh draws inspiration from the current cottagecore trend and adopts a traditional country décor, similar to what you’d expect to find in a high-end UK coastal hotel.
“Its neighbour, the Woodcroft, is rather more ostentatious. It features luxurious fabrics and materials such as marble, velvet and satin, whilst a sense of drama is created through the use of dried flowers and feathers. This is a house for entertaining!
“Rugby has a strong connection with Mr Kipling so one of the children’s bedrooms in the Woodcroft celebrates all things cake! We designed this for twin girls, or sisters, so it has two single beds separated by a play kitchen in the middle for baking practice. The walls have a wraparound scalloped-edge paint feature with sprinkles above to mimic a cake and its case. Bunting across the corner completes the exceedingly British design.
“In the Hesketh, we wanted to reference the nearby Jaguar Land Rover Headquarters so one of the teenage bedrooms has a spectacular hand-painted mural depicting the classic defender car touring the landscape. The remainder of the room features styling in the brand’s synonymous green.”
As well as taking inspiration from the furniture and decorations, house hunters might wish to use some of the colour schemes seen in the show homes in their own properties. The Woodcroft’s colour palette showcases a combination of warm champagne, antique rose and soft grey, alongside gold metallics for splashes of glamour. The Hesketh is bolder with navy and ochre as the dominant shades. Natural woods and statement patterned wallpapers give this home character and charm.
Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “The way our show homes have been designed showcases that colour schemes in your home can transform the way you feel.
“It’s always exciting to reveal new show homes and we hope these properties at Ashlawn Gardens will help our buyers to envisage themselves living there.”
Ashlawn Gardens is a fast-growing community where residents can enjoy green open spaces, whilst also benefiting from excellent commuter links. The quaint town of Dunchurch is on the doorstep and Rugby town centre is less than two miles away.
