POD Management Wins Prestigious British Safety Council Sword of Honour 2025

Feb 10, 2026
97% audit score and 5-Star Accreditation reinforce POD’s sector-leading safety culture and operational excellence.
POD Management has been awarded the prestigious British Safety Council Sword of Honour for 2025, recognising its position among the UK’s top-performing organisations for health and safety management.
This internationally recognised award is reserved exclusively for organisations that achieve a 5-Star rating in the British Safety Council’s Occupational Health and Safety Audit and demonstrate excellence, leadership, and continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing.
POD achieved an outstanding 97% audit score, building on its earlier 5-Star Accreditation, featured as a British Safety Council case study, which highlights the consistency and effectiveness of POD’s health and safety management. The Sword of Honour recognises how health and safety is embedded throughout POD’s operations, from board-level governance to day-to-day management across its residential portfolio, ensuring safer, better-managed homes for clients and residents.
David Goldberg, CEO of POD Management, said
“This is an outstanding achievement for the entire POD Management team and a testament to what professional property managers should be striving for. Achieving the Sword of Honour reflects the depth of our processes and, most importantly, the way our teams embed safety into everyday practice across our managed buildings. I am hugely proud of everyone involved.”
The British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit is its flagship assessment, benchmarking organisations against the highest standards of best practice. During POD’s audit, the independent assessor praised the company’s strong leadership commitment, positive welfare and wellbeing culture, and high levels of employee engagement.
Peter McGettrick, Chairman of British Safety Council, added “On behalf of the board of trustees and staff of the British Safety Council, I would like to congratulate POD Management on achieving the highest standards of health and safety management. Achieving recognition of this sort takes absolute dedication and the utmost professionalism. We are proud to support you in your achievements and delighted that we can contribute to your ongoing success.”
