Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has completed the first phase of construction of Broomhill Junior School in Nottingham on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE).

The project involved delivering a new two-storey junior school, constructed using a steel frame and designed in accordance with the DfE’s Specification 21 requirements. The next phase of works includes the creation of a permanent multi-use games area (MUGA) and new landscaping.

Chris Loach, Regional Director – East Midlands at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “We are proud to have delivered the first phase of this modern new school for the Department for Education and the Hucknall community. The project required careful planning and close collaboration to manage the construction works while maintaining safe access and facilities for the school. The completed building provides pupils and staff with a high-quality learning environment that will support the community for many years to come.”
