A brand-new public park has officially opened at Davidsons Homes’ Wellington Place development in Market Harborough, creating a welcoming green space for families and residents to enjoy for years to come.
The park was opened on Saturday 11th October by Harborough District Council’s Vice-Chairman, Councillor Buddy Anderson, who cut the ribbon and declared the park open. His son was also among the first children to try out the brand-new play equipment, which has been designed for all ages to enjoy.
Local residents, Davidsons staff and guests gathered to celebrate the occasion and explore the landscaped area, which features open green spaces, pathways and play equipment designed to bring the community together.
Stephanie King, Sales Director for Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “We’re really proud to have opened this beautiful new park for the community at Wellington Place. Green spaces like this are such an important part of what makes our developments feel welcoming and connected.
“It’s wonderful to see local families already out enjoying it, exactly what we hoped for when we first designed this area. A special thank you to Councillor Buddy Anderson for bringing along his son to be the first to try out the new equipment.”
Councillor Buddy Anderson, Vice-Chairman of Harborough District Council, said: “It was a real pleasure to officially open the park. Spaces like this bring people together and give children somewhere to make memories close to home. It’s great to see a new development that puts community and green space at its heart.”
The park forms a key part of the wider Wellington Place development, which has been carefully planned to combine high-quality homes with community amenities and green infrastructure.
Wellington Place, off Leicester Road, offers a range of traditionally styled two to five-bedroom homes, all crafted with Davidsons’ signature attention to detail, character and quality.
Over the course of the development, Davidsons Homes has also made a series of local contributions to benefit the wider Market Harborough community – including investment in infrastructure, new open spaces, and funding towards education, transport and community facilities.
