Another major Senior Director hire for Pegasus as growth strategy continues

1st December 2025 – Leading multidisciplinary development consultancy Pegasus Group has today announced the appointment of David Mohring as Senior Director based in its London office, to head up diversification into public sector work.

A public sector specialist, David joins Pegasus from construction and property consultancy Gardiner & Theobald. Prior to this he was Director of Strategic Growth at Gleeds.

With 25 years’ experience in professional services and nearly 20 in the built environment and infrastructure sector, David brings significant expertise in framework management and strategic growth.

Based in Pegasus’ London office, David will be working nationally alongside a range of teams at Pegasus to build out its multidisciplinary work with public sector clients. This will include supporting both central and local government clients to deliver on the needs of their users and communities.

His appointment is the latest in a series of Senior Director hires at Pegasus in 2025 as the group continues to implement its growth strategy. Along with geographic and service line growth, expanding the business’s client base into the public sector is something Pegasus should do, given the team’s transferable skills and experience.

Commenting on the appointment, Douglas McCormick, CEO of Pegasus, said: “David is a very welcome addition to our team, with the experience to support our strategic growth into the public sector. The existing skillset of the Pegasus team is already applicable to a huge amount of public sector work – that makes it a natural next step in our expansion.

“It’s also good to see our new, larger London office continuing to fill up with the best individuals in the business.

“The public sector forms a key part of our growth plans over the coming years. Our multidisciplinary expertise can be applied there just as much as in the private sector. David’s leadership will be vital as we diversify our offering.”

David Mohring, Pegasus’ new Senior Director, added: “I am thrilled to be working with such an accomplished team at Pegasus. It’s an exciting time to be joining the business as we accelerate our growth into new areas, building on our established reputation for expertise.

The public sector has the largest and most diverse estate in the UK, offering brilliant opportunities to deliver value for our clients and develop careers for our people.
