An employee who started as a trainee at a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy 17 years ago, has now been named a partner at the firm
John Read, who joined Daniel Connal Partnership (DCP) as a trainee building surveyor in 2003, has been named its newest partner. Joining the company as a graduate of Royal Holloway, then undertook a post graduate diploma in Building Surveying at Anglia Ruskin University. John was chartered as a building surveyor in 2010 and made an associate in 2015, before his latest promotion to partner.
John Read said of his appointment: “The firm have fully supported my career development over the last 17 years from trainee in 2003 to a partner today. My own career path demonstrates very clearly how committed Daniel Connal Partnership is to growing the talents of its staff. I’m very proud of DCP and look forward to being part of its continued success.”

DCP is an award winning multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with offices in Norwich, Colchester and London. In his time to date with DCP, John has worked on many projects. Highlights include the initial development and then extension of the Spectra Packaging plant in Halesworth, Suffolk and, during a secondment to our London office, working at the renowned Brit School in Croydon.In addition to membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, John is also a member of the Association of Project Safety and the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.
