Office interior design, fit out and refurbishment specialist Morgan Lovell, which has offices in London and Bracknell, has contributed to preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2019 released today (20 February 2020) by parent company Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group.
Morgan Sindall Group plc delivered strong profit growth in 2019, with adjusted operating profit up 11% to £90.4m on revenue of £3,071m, up 3%. In addition, the Group’s balance sheet remains strong, with average daily net cash in the year increasing to £109m and year end net cash of £193m. With its secured workload up 14% to £7.6bn, the Group is well-positioned for future growth and another good year of progress is expected in 2020.
“Our reputation for creative design, high quality fit out and exceptional service delivery has led to a strong year for us,” said Chris Booth, managing director of Morgan Lovell.
“Our presence in London and the South of England, as well as projects secured across a wide range of sectors, has enabled us to maintain a strong performance throughout the year. We’re proud to have contributed to the Group’s results for 2019.”
Key projects in London and the South of England for Morgan Lovell in 2019 include:
- Completed the c. 10,500 sq ft design and fit out of the new London workspace for Virgin Group's loyalty and rewards programme Virgin Red.
- Completed the c. 25,000 sq ft office design and fit out in Guildford for Electronic Arts, a global leader in digital interactive entertainment and gaming.
- Completed the c. 38,000 sq ft office design and build in London for SAGE Publishing, one of the world's leading independent academic and professional publishers.
- Completed the c. 50,000 sq ft design and fit out of the new EMEA headquarters for Bottomline Technologies, a leading provider of financial technology, in Theale.
- Completed the c. 24500 sq ft design and fit out of The Body Shop's office in London, including office space, a mock shop and a new concept area.
- Completed a c. 8,800 sq ft office design and fit out for the Royal Navy's artificial intelligence programme NELSON at HM Naval Base Portsmouth.
