Lincolnshire Homebuilder Breaks The Ice With Local Ice Hockey Team

Barratt and David Wilson Homes is supporting Grimsby Ice Hockey Club with a sponsorship that will provide trophies for the players.

The club, which is based near the housebuilder’s Wigmore Park and High Forest developments, has been established for nearly 10 years and is one of the few opportunities locally for children to learn and play ice hockey.

Part of the sponsorship will cover 20 home game trophies which the club needs to play in its league, while the rest is being used to fund the end of season trophies for the children’s presentation evening.

Katie Smith, Chairperson and U18s Manager at Grimsby Ice Hockey Club, said: “This sponsorship means so much to us. Being a specialist sport, game trophies aren’t as easy to get hold of, and there is far less choice compared to a sport like football.

“Sponsorships and donations such as this one makes such a difference to a small club like ours. The whole process from start to finish has been great, and everyone from Barratt and David Wilson Homes has been amazing.
