Craig Lawson (33) and Jessica Dine (30), a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Marketing Executive respectively, have moved to a three bedroom property at David Wilson Homes’ New Lubbesthorpe community in Leicester and found more room to grow along with their Shiba Inu dog, Sonny.
The upgrade not only benefited their work-life balance, but also had no effect on their monthly expenses.
Craig said: “We moved from the two bedroom house in Coalville, which was our first home, as we soon realised it wasn’t big enough for hybrid working and a dog. We also wanted a garage to have a home gym set-up.
“Since moving, it has allowed us both to feel settled in the home now we have the space.
“We’ve found the home to be energy efficient too. Our energy bills have remained the same despite upsizing from a two bedroom to a three bedroom home.”
The couple purchased a detached Ingleby style property which, with the three bedrooms and a garage, gave them a large amount of additional space in comparison with their previous house. Benefits at home, as well as the commuter links and amenities on the doorstep, cemented their future at David Wilson Homes’ established community.
Craig added: “A brand-new home appealed to us, as it gave us peace of mind knowing that you are covered under warranties. We also liked the idea of putting our own stamp on a home.
“New Lubbesthorpe as an area is right in the centre of mine and my partner’s lives. It has great access to the motorways and also good local amenities. Work has started on a care home and shopping area next to the school onsite, which will make the area even better.
“There are plenty of interlinking open space and paths, and the design of the development has been really thought through as a whole.”
There is currently a selection of three and four bedroom homes available at New Lubbesthorpe with prices starting at £362,995. For more information about any nearby developments, call the sales team on 033 3355 8483 or visit the website at David Wilson Homes in Leicestershire.
