Galliford Try Partnerships has formed a joint venture with leading affordable housing provider Metropolitan as part of a major regeneration opportunity that will deliver 171 new homes at Wilford Lane in Nottingham.
The joint venture partners will work alongside Rushcliffe Borough Council to deliver 51 affordable homes, available for affordable rent and shared ownership, as well as 120 open-market sale homes.
Construction work commenced in January, with the first homes expected to be available for sale from autumn this year. The development is expected to be completed by January 2022.
Galliford Try Partnerships Chief Executive Stephen Teagle, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Metropolitan and Rushcliffe Borough Council to regenerate the site, delivering much-needed affordable homes while creating a vibrant new community in the process. This partnership is the first major contract for our recently established East Midlands team, helping us to further strengthen our national footprint as a leading regeneration specialist.”
Geeta Nanda, Chief Executive Officer at Metropolitan, said: “We’re very pleased to be working alongside Galliford Try Partnerships and Rushcliffe Borough Council, helping to meet local housing need with high-quality new homes. We look forward to getting started on site and maximising the contribution that this exciting new development will make to the local community.”
