Barratt and David Wilson Homes is encouraging its residents to use the cycle lanes at its Wintringham development in St Neots ahead of Cycle to Work Day on Thursday 1st August 2024.

Cycle to Work Day is hosted by Cyclescheme and encourages commuters of all ability levels to consider the benefits of arriving to work on two wheels.

According to Cycling UK, only 4% of adults in England cycle to work daily even though cycling improves physical and mental wellbeing, saves on fuel and is better for the environment than driving.

Residents at Wintringham can take advantage of nine kilometres of walking and cycling routes which allow for an easy, healthy and sustainable way to travel to and from work.

Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “We’re proud to be providing cycle paths at our Wintringham development, allowing residents to have a safe and easy way to experience their local community and the surrounding areas to the fullest.

“Homebuyers can take a leisurely cycle around the developments, or they can use the routes to commute to work or school, reducing their carbon footprint and helping to live a more sustainable life.”

Residents who join the community at Wintringham will benefit from a wide range of great amenities on their doorstep, including a health centre, green open space, retail outlets, and eateries. Plus, the closest airport, London Luton, is just 37 miles away.

Barratt Homes at Wintringham currently has a range of one to four bedroom homes available that suit a variety of house hunters.
