Barratt Homes has made a £1,000 donation to Coalville charity, Enrych, to support its services for mental health and people living with disabilities.

The contribution from the housebuilder will help the charity in its mission to remove barriers for adults living with disabilities, neurodiversity, long-term health conditions and poor mental health.

As champions of inclusivity, Enrych holds several shared values, and strives to empower people to overcome obstacles and embrace their aspirations.

Liz Rickaby, Chief Executive at Enrych, said: “Enabling people living with disabilities and poor mental health to access activities and support to get out and about in their communities and achieve their goals and aspirations has never been more important.

“We can’t do this work without support from partners like Barratt Homes providing support both financially and in raising awareness of the work we do. On behalf of Enrych and the people we serve, I would therefore like to say a big thank you to Barratt Homes for its support.”

Based close to Barratt Homes’ Grange View development in Hugglescote, Enrych provides a wide range of services for its beneficiaries in Leicestershire, and the wider East Midlands.

Its core values are being focused on people, transparency, integrity, respect and trust – all of which benefit those who need extra support greatly.

Established over 35 years by Leonard Cheshire and Sue Ryder, Enrych is committed to delivering personalised support that is specifically designed to address the unique needs of every individual it serves.

The funding from Barratt Homes will go towards the charity’s services, which include one-to-one support, employability support, job coaching, community activities and events.

Activities hosted by Enrych include arts and crafts, a feel-good café, lawn bowls and boccia and multi-sports.

Mark Cotes, Managing Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “Enrych is a fantastic charity local to our Grange View development, and it holds a special place in the community.

“It’s a privilege to donate £1,000 to the charity and we hope the contribution will help everyone associated with Enrych to continue to deliver its wide range of valuable services.”
