The project manager of a new homes development in Barking Riverside has received a prestigious housebuilding industry award.
Sean Chappell has been awarded a Seal of Excellence from the National House-Building Council (NHBC) for his work at Bellway London Partnerships’ Fielders Quarter, off Fielders Crescent.
This is the latest stage of the NHBC’s Pride in the Job awards scheme, which saw Sean’s commitment to delivering high-quality homes recognised with a Quality Award earlier this year.
Bellway London Partnerships is the national housebuilder’s newest division, which launched in 2019.
Sean said: “To win a Quality Award this year was great, so to receive the Seal of Excellence award is fantastic and very humbling. We have no track record as a brand-new division, so this recognition has been a great achievement for our entire team.
“Although it has not been easy dealing with the effects of the pandemic, such as social distancing and labour and material shortages, we have remained strong and dedicated as a team in order to produce beautiful, high-quality new homes.
“We are continuing to expand at London Partnerships and there is so much potential especially now that we have set the standard with these NHBC awards. We hope to continue being recognised for more of our hard work in the future.”
Jamie Smith, Production Director for Bellway London Partnerships, said: “To be recognised by the NHBC is the biggest achievement you can receive as a site manager, so we are very proud of everything that Sean and his team have achieved.
“In a year which has been particularly challenging for many industries, including housebuilding, Sean has demonstrated a commitment to maintaining a high standard of construction and customer service at Fielders Quarter.
“This level of dedication from all our site managers and their teams is a vital part of Bellway retaining its five-star status with the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for the last five years.
“Everyone at Bellway congratulates Sean and we wish him all the very best as he strives to achieve more success next year.”
There is currently a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments available at Fielders Quarter, with prices starting from £260,895.
