Penistone Church Women FC has kicked off its new season in style thanks to a brand-new kit sponsored by leading housebuilder David Wilson Homes.
The team has been playing competitively since September 2021 and is looking forward to building on its previous successes in the new kit.
Mark O’Neill, Manager at Penistone Church Women FC, said: “We’re extremely grateful for this donation from David Wilson Homes. It’s saved us a huge financial output, so we’re all very thankful and appreciative.
“It’s important for all businesses to support the community, if they can! Housebuilders are building homes to increase the community, so contributing in these ways to local communities goes a long way and shows they care about the community they are adding to.
“The kit will make a massive difference to the team, and we’re now able to allow the players to not have to pay any fees for the season. The kit looks brilliant and has been welcomed with open arms!”
Penistone Church Women FC, located near David Wilson Homes’ Penning Ridge development in Penistone, has players aged between 16 and 39 and play their games on Sunday afternoons.
Gary Chambers, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Sheffield, said: “We’re delighted to sponsor Penistone Church FC for this season and we wish them the very best of luck.
“As a leading housebuilder, it’s important to us to support local groups and organisations within the communities we build. Clubs such as this bring local people together and create an identity for all people involved.”
David Wilson Homes currently has a range of three and four bedroom homes at Penning Ridge development perfect for a range of house buyers. The developer has a number of schemes and incentives to help property seekers make a move.
