Nottinghamshire housebuilder Barratt Homes has donated a range of bird boxes to Langold Country Park to help wildlife thrive.
Located near its Knights View development in Langold, the developer gifted a selection of RSPB nest boxes for a variety of bird species.
Sales Adviser, Simon Cooper, visited the country park to help install some of the nest boxes with members of Bassetlaw District Council, Richard Bell and Tim Downes.
Cllr Gillian Freeman, Ward Member for Langold, said: “Our park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including native birds. We’d like to thank Barratt Homes for these bird boxes which will make a great home for some of our feathered friends.”
Langold Country Park is located just five miles north of Worksop, and is comprised of woodlands, wildlife and butterfly meadows, open grassed areas, a large fishing lake, play areas and more for families and visitors to enjoy throughout the year.
Gary Chambers, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Sheffield, said: “As a leading housebuilder, we know that home is where the heart is and that’s true for all kinds of residents, human or otherwise!
“We hope the donation of these nest boxes will provide a new home for a variety of bird species, and help the biodiversity at the park thrive.”
Barratt Homes has partnered with the RSPB since 2014 to show how new homes, and indeed homeowners, can help nature and support wildlife. The agreement was the first of its kind in the UK and was created to look for opportunities to boost natural habitats at developments across the country.
Located in the popular town of Langold, residents at Knights View will benefit from a range of local amenities such as shops, cafés and restaurants. Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ schools are also located nearby.
Commuters will enjoy easy access to surrounding towns and cities including Worksop, Doncaster and Sheffield. For more information about Barratt Homes or any developments in the area, visit the website at Barratt Homes in Nottinghamshire.
