The CP Electronics energy and lighting controls range has expanded with the launch of a new emergency lighting server, providing facilities managers and building owners a fast, remote testing solution for their sites.
RAPID ELS is a new emergency lighting management server from CP Electronics – a brand of Legrand – that simplifies the control of emergency lighting in both single and multi-site buildings. Among the many benefits, users can view the live status of their section of the building, schedule regular lighting tasks, generate a results log and organise staff tasks remotely.
Designed for those looking for efficiencies across multiple teams and sites over long distances, RAPID ELS is ideal for organisations with remote working or mobile teams. Accessible through computers, tablets or smartphones from any location, assessments can be made – and materials prepared – before visiting sites, saving time, and minimising further visits.
As well as ensuring secure login credentials for simultaneous multi-user operations, RAPID ELS allows for the segregation of multiple company occupancies as part of a building, or as part of a floor. This provides complete and controlled ownership of the data and analytics, meaning facilities teams can reveal specific areas to each tenant for a more bespoke service.
With RAPID ELS, routine tests can be scheduled to be carried out automatically, ensuring all mandatory testing is completed and data is available when required. Zones can easily be set up so that the various tenancy divisions of a building can be reflected in the reporting.
With facilities managers often responsible for multiple buildings on different sites, time saving solutions for testing and maintenance are in high demand, as Wai Cheung, Senior Product Manager at CP Electronics, explains:
“We have introduced RAPID ELS with convenience in mind. Facilities managers have immediate access to their data and full confidence that all emergency lighting is compliant and functioning. Thanks to its web browser access, mobile devices can be used when performing any diagnostics and repairs, allowing users to observe the physical behaviour of each light as it is being worked on and make instant changes.
“A solution like RAPID ELS, which offers secure tenant split access, puts the control in the hands of facilities managers, who can supply specific data without complications.”
RAPID ELS deploys standard internet protocol communication methods which are familiar to most IT departments and widely used across the industry, offering secure communication over HTTPS using TLS encryption. For more information, visit: https://www.cpelectronics.co.uk/
