Investar Property Group has announced its acquisition of a 40,000 sq. ft. site on Talbot Road in Trafford, with intentions to create more than 200 new homes.
The Manchester-based property development and investment firm acquired the site in June 2019, with a formal planning application set for submission in Q4 2019.
The development will be situated on the doorstep of White City Retail Park and less than half a mile away from Old Trafford Football Stadium.
Prospective residents would benefit from easy access into Manchester city centre, with the Trafford Bar Metrolink stop located just 300 metres away. Media City UK is also reachable in less than 15 minutes.
Investar Property Group is working with MACE Consulting, JMW and LRW Architects on plans for the site.
Michael Dong, chief executive officer of Investar Property Group, said: “Trafford is undergoing a major transformation at present, outlined in the Civic Quarter Masterplan. With this, the area is demonstrating strong demand for new homes, especially as people are being increasingly priced out of Manchester city centre.
“Thanks to its convenient location, with excellent transport facilities and local amenities, Trafford is a sought-after living area for both young professionals and families. The University Academy 92, which will open its doors in September 2019, is expected to create an influx in demand for contemporary living spaces. Our development will respond to this need by offering modern, city centre style homes, with easy access into Manchester for work and leisure.”
