Following a successful 15 years since the Hill Group first opened its Western region operation, the business has upsized to a new regional office in Abingdon. Previously based in Bicester, the team will benefit from a 4,500sqft open plan environment that will further promote collaborative working to drive the regional operation forward. With the Group planning to double its turnover in the next five years, the growth of the Western region will be essential to this objective.
Hill, the UK’s third largest privately owned housebuilder, has recently been awarded 5-star status in the Home Builders Federation's annual Customer Satisfaction Survey for the fourth successive year. Additionally, in the Western region, its highly successful Mosaics development in Oxford won Best Development at the What House? 2020 Awards.
Ryan Harris, Regional Director at Hill Group comments: “This move solidifies our strength and presence within Oxfordshire as we continue to add land led contracting opportunities to our pipeline. We have seen exciting growth over the past few years and with high levels of demand for our new homes, we are well on track to reach our ambitious five-year strategy of doubling turnover and profitability in the period to 2025.”
“Our new office in Abingdon provides additional workspace and flexibility, and we are now looking to recruit locally based staff to help further our growth. We are immediately seeking a land manager, quantity surveyors, technical co-ordinators and a variety of production-based staff to facilitate this growth together with management trainees.”
Widely acknowledged within the housebuilding industry as a leading training platform, the Hill Management Trainee Programme is designed to create exceptional professionals. Similar to a degree apprenticeship, candidates earn a competitive salary whilst working towards a BSc (Hons) degree. In the Western region, Hill is looking to recruit three candidates into the September enrolment. Positions available include; trainee surveyor, technical co-ordinator and site manager.
As a group, Hill is also passionate about ensuring gender equality throughout the industry. Through its partnership with Women into Construction, Hill aims to encourage more women into the business of housebuilding.
