Harron Homes North Midlands has recently welcomed Catherine Reynolds and Ben Parkins to its Barlborough office as Land Buyer and Senior Land Manager respectively.
AH - Unsworth Sugden - Retford - 27.06.2024-058 - Catherine Reynolds and Ben Parkins have joined Harron's land team
43-year-old Ben brings two decades of experience to the role, having gained a degree in town planning from Leeds University in 2003. Since then, he’s worked for a number of well-known housebuilders, including Barratt Homes, Avant, and Gleeson Homes, where he previously worked with Catherine.
24-year-old Catherine kick started her property career with a graduate scheme at Gleeson, before moving to Persimmon’s land team.
Catherine said, “I’m very excited to be joining Harron, and it’s a bonus to be working with a familiar face! After what was a fairly isolating biology degree in the midst of Covid, I love having a career where I get to meet and interact with lots of different people and departments.
“There’s a lot to the role, from searching for land, to developing relationships with agents and land owners, and working with the legal team. No two days are the same and it’s great.”
Ben has a long history in the construction industry. “My dad was a builder, so I often spent summers helping him and my love of housebuilding grew from there. Working in land is a lot like treasure hunting a lot of the time! The reward of seeing a development come to life never gets old.
“I’ve always known Harron as a strong regional builder, and I am excited to contribute to its ongoing growth in the area.”
Andy Priestley, Land Director for Harron Homes North Midlands said, “I’m delighted to welcome Ben and Catherine to the Harron team, where they’re sure to bring much valued expertise. It’s an exciting time for the North Midlands region, and I’m looking forward to seeing Ben and Catherine’s careers go from strength to strength alongside our newest developments.” For more information on careers at Harron Homes please visit: https://www.harronhomes.com/careers/.
