Mulalley recently achieved FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) Gold accreditation for the second time, and has been FORS accredited since 2013. FORS is a best practice fleet standard, focusing on safety, efficiency and environmental performance. Of over 4,600 FORS accredited companies, only 5% have achieved Gold.
Becoming Gold accredited has helped us reduce our transport fines and charges, incidents and our carbon footprint. For example, all of our commercial drivers have completed training on vulnerable road users which has helped us achieve a 13% reduction in traffic collisions.
Eamon O’Malley, Director said: “FORS has given us a structured approach to improve our fleet’s safety and environmental performance to ensure we sustain our Gold accreditation.”
FORS clearly aligns with our achievements as a Considerate Constructors Scheme Founder Member, an Investor in People Gold and a RoSPA Gold accredited company. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to improving road safety, along with being a CLOCS Champion (Construction Logistics and Community Safety) and supports our carbon neutrality status.
