Connect It Utility Services has been appointed by Barratt London to deliver the multi-utility infrastructure works for the major Bollo Lane development in Acton (W3).

The significant scheme, located between Bollo Lane and the Piccadilly Line near Acton Town Station, forms part of the wider West London Partnership - a joint venture between Barratt London and Places for London, set to unlock more than 4,000 new homes over the next decade.

Bollo Lane will be delivered across four phases and will provide up to 900 new homes, delivering 50% affordable housing alongside 20,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space and an extensive new public realm.

As part of its appointment, Connect It will be responsible for the design, supply and installation of complex electrical and water infrastructure, including:

  • Temporary and permanent HV/LV networks
  • Temporary Builder’s Supply (TBS) substations
  • Multi-plot and high-density residential connections
  • Commercial and landlord supplies
  • Self-lay water infrastructure coordinated alongside electrical works

The appointment reflects Connect It’s continued strength in delivering large-scale, high-density urban developments, where early coordination, technical certainty and programme reliability are critical.

Laban Giles, Managing Director at Connect It Utility Services, said: “We are delighted to be working with Barratt London on the Bollo Lane development, a landmark scheme that will deliver much-needed new homes and infrastructure in West London.”

“This is a complex, multi-phase project requiring careful coordination and technical expertise. Our team will work closely with Barratt London and project stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant and programme-driven delivery, with a seamless transition from temporary to permanent utility connections.”

Connect It Utility Services will work closely with Barratt London and the wider project team to ensure safe, compliant and fully coordinated installations across all phases of the scheme. Delivery will be driven by programme requirements, aligned with build phasing to support efficient progress on site.

Paul Muldowney, Managing Director, Barratt London said: “We’re pleased to be working with Connect It Utility Services on the delivery of essential infrastructure at Bollo Lane. Their experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects makes them an ideal partner.

“Coordination of utilities is important to ensuring smooth delivery across multiple phases. This appointment will help support the rollout of 900 new homes, delivering 50% affordable housing, alongside the wider regeneration and community benefits the development will bring to west London.”
