Bewley Homes has announced it has completed on the purchase of a site in Oakley which has outline planning consent for 48 dwellings, 40% of which will be made up by affordable homes and will be developed in partnership with Wates Residential Developments.

Forming part of Bewley Homes’ new Garden Village Housing Collection – a high quality range of homes designed to create a sense of place and character in keeping with the existing local community and environment – the site, which has a GDV of £17.315m, will comprise a mixture of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties, ranging in size between 775 sq ft and 1,900 sq ft.  The development also includes a communal play and kickabout area at the heart of the scheme

Andrew Brooks, Managing Director of Bewley Homes, says:  “Bewley Homes has enjoyed a long standing relationship with the picturesque village of Oakley and this will be our fourth development in the village.  Oakley benefits from a  pub, tennis club, shop and local schools and represents the very best of English village life. Additionally, its close proximity to the amenities and transport facilities of Basingstoke, being only 4.5 miles away, will help make our development of mixed house sizes, highly desirable for those who need good road and rail links to central London and the South.

“At Bewley Homes we take great pride in the quality of construction and craftsmanship, as well as the aesthetic detailing of our homes and feel that our development at Oakley will be helping to fulfil the much-needed requirement for new homes in this thriving area and, indeed, is continued reinforcement of our commitment to providing high quality homes to local communities.”
