Amey announces NGEC contract extensions

Amey is delighted to announce that the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has exercised its contracted options to extend the Next Generation Estates contracts (NGEC). These contracts were let originally to CarillionAmey in 2015 and provide critical response maintenance, estate compliance and project investment for all Defence technical estate assets under the four Regional Prime contracts and 49,500 houses under the National Housing Prime Contract. The extensions will see all contracts extended for between 13 and 24 months.

Since acquiring the shareholding originally held by Carillion following its liquidation in January 2018, Amey has been successfully managing all the contracts and we have seen increasing levels of performance delivery over the last 12 months, particularly in relation to delivery of the response maintenance service, customer satisfaction and investment in the Defence estate. In the last financial year, Amey worked closely with DIO and Front Line Commands to deliver record levels of project work across the national Defence estate.
