The All-New Isuzu D-Max has won its very first UK award after eclipsing all the competition at the 4x4 Magazine awards. Judges at the specialist off-road publication were awestruck by its high levels of comfort and even greater capabilities and deservedly crowned the newcomer as the ‘2021 Pick-Up Of The Year’,
Isuzu has a solid reputation in the UK for providing tough, practical and proficient vehicles. The All-New D-Max inherits Isuzu’s unmistakable workhorse DNA, with an even stronger chassis, and adds greater levels of refinement, safety and off-road capabilities.
After a conducting a comprehensive driving appraisal, testing the safety equipment and comparing its specification with the competitors, the esteemed panel were convinced that there was only one worthy winner and bestowed the coveted title upon the All-New Isuzu D-Max.
The judges were particularly impressed by the new model’s comfortable interior, refined driving characteristics, sleek dashboard design and new infotainment systems, which includes a 9-inch touchscreen display on the top-of-the-range model.
Alan Kidd, Editor at 4x4 Magazine, commented: “This D-Max is far more refined to drive on the road. It’s smoother and quieter at all speeds, with steering and suspension that disguise its size. Its cabin is a quantum leap forward with cutting-edge electronics mounted on a superb looking dash”.
As the UK’s only 4x4 and Pick-Up Magazine, their dedicated readership of off-road enthusiasts will also be interested in the D-Max’s even stronger chassis, faster engaging shift-on-the-fly 4WD system and the rear diff-lock, which is now standard on All-Purpose and Adventure range models.
The increased refinement, safety and comfort of the All-New Isuzu D-Max hasn’t compromised Isuzu’s renowned practicality, with the new model offering a 3.5t towing capacity and a maximum payload of over one tonne. Power is derived from an efficient, Euro 6D compliant diesel engine, which produces up to 164PS and 360Nm of torque.
Customers have a wide range of models to choose from including 4x2 or 4x4, a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, three cab types (single, extended and double cab) and four brand new trim levels. Each new model comes with 125,000 mile / 5 Year warranty and 5 years UK and European roadside assistance.
Achieving a maximum five-star rating in the new rigorous Euro NCAP test, the All-New Isuzu D-Max arrives into UK showrooms in March 2021 and customers are encouraged to register their interest now.
