Our winner of January’s Design & Build UK Women in Construction Award is Katie Smith, a self-employed bricklayer, working out of Leicester. Her previous roles include a bricklaying apprenticeship, for Jelson homes, for the past 12 months Katie has worked on a self-employed basis, on a number of different projects from bespoke work for the Wedgwood show garden, at The Chatsworth house RHS flower show and building Super structures and extensions, she now also runs her own blog.
