West Midlands housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes welcomed the Lord Mayor of Birmingham to their Hall Green developments, Tenchlee Place and The Elms.
With the Shaftmoor Lane developments set to bring 296 homes to Birmingham, the leading developers invited The Lord Mayor, Councillor Chaman Lal, for a tour of the community now it’s more established.
The Lord Mayor was able to discuss the progression of Tenchlee Place and The Elms with the Barratt and David Wilson Homes team, before being given a tour of the show homes and the live construction site.
The Lord Mayor said: “I had the privilege of touring the new housing developments on Shaftmoor Lane, led by developers Barratt and David Wilson Homes. I was impressed by the progress made and the quality of the work; these homes will provide much-needed housing for our community. I look forward to seeing the project completed and families moving in soon!”
As part of the exciting development, which first launched in October 2022, Barratt and David Wilson Homes have placed energy efficiency and ecology at the heart of the designs.
In the heart of Hall Green, the development is a local regeneration with green, open spaces being created on the doorstep for new residents. Whilst benefiting from a semi-rural retreat, home buyers can make the most of the nearby train station and be in Birmingham in less than 10 minutes.
Michaela Lancaster, Operations Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome The Lord Mayor to our developments, Tenchlee Place and The Elms, to showcase the progress we’ve made onsite in Hall Green.
“We’re looking forward to helping more residents move into the community as it continues to take shape, and we’d like to invite any keen home buyers to visit our Sales Advisers to learn more about the properties available.”
Tenchlee Place currently offers a selection of three and four bedroom properties with prices starting from £330,000, whilst The Elms has two, three and four bedroom homes currently priced from £278,995.
Ideally located close to schools, shops and restaurants, the developments are within reach of Solihull town centre, whilst Spring Road Station provides services to Birmingham Moor Street for residents to access the UK's second city.
