The Armed Forces and Key Worker weekend at Hawk Rise in Ledbury will take place during 10am to 5:30pm on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June.
Active and ex-military personnel in search of a new build home should look no further, as the event weekend will provide the opportunity to learn more about the Armed Forces and Key Worker Deposit Contribution schemes, both of which are designed to make for a far easier move.
The event is being hosted as part of Armed Forces Day (24th June), as a means to support military personnel to progress on the property ladder.
Tanya Silk, Sales Director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “As a leading homebuilder, we aim to make the move as easy and as affordable as possible for all of our customers and our Armed Forces and Key Worker schemes do exactly that.
“Our schemes were launched to acknowledge the phenomenal contribution to our society made by key workers and military personnel and we would love to welcome those eligible to our event weekend to learn more about how we can assist with a move.”
Barratt Homes has been supporting the Armed Forces for a number of years. It has a long-standing partnership with Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI), supporting the charity in confronting the challenges of veteran homelessness. The partnership delivers new homes, mental health support and jobs for ex-Armed Forces personnel.
The Armed Forces scheme works by offering personnel a 5% deposit contribution up to £15,000. For example, if they were interested in a home costing £200,000, they would qualify for a contribution of £10,000. Those wishing to apply should speak to a Sales Adviser during an appointment, who can introduce applicants to a specialist New Homes Mortgage Adviser.
Barratt Homes’ Key Worker Deposit Contribution scheme is available to those in the NHS, but also to an extensive list of those in education, the police force, fire service, environmental service, probation service, local authorities, prison service, as well as anyone at the Ministry of Defence or National Highways.
For those using the scheme before 30th June 2023, the housebuilder will contribute £1,000 towards the deposit for every £20,000 spent on the purchase price. For example, on a property costing £450,000, the homebuyer would qualify for a contribution of £22,500.
For details about the new homes being built in the area, call the sales team on 033 3355 8475 or visit the website at Hawk Rise.
