David Wilson Homes recently added £35,000 to the fundraising pot for its charity of the year, Claire House Children’s Hospice on the Wirral.
The Greatest Showman themed charity ball for Claire’s House Children’s Hospice
The Merseyside housebuilder hosted a charity ball at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel in Manchester, which featured a variety of fundraising activities for the children’s hospice.
It was the second annual ball that David Wilson Homes has hosted to raise vital funds for the children’s hospice. This year’s theme was ‘The Greatest Showman’, and featured a raffle and bingo for all attendees.
Dan Halliday, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Claire House Children’s Hospice, said: “We were delighted to once again be chosen as the charity partner for David Wilson Homes, and to attend its annual ball to raise money for the hospice. This year’s ball was such an amazing event and to raise such a huge amount of money, means that we can be there to hold the hand of children and their families when they need us most.
“We exist because of the wonderful support from businesses like David Wilson Homes and we can’t thank the company enough for everything it does for us.”
Claire House Children’s Hospice opened in December 1998 with the mission to help seriously and terminally ill children live as full and as happy a life as they can.
As an essential resource for people who need it, the hospice now supports over 400 families in Wirral and the surrounding areas.
Claire Jarvis, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes North West, said: “With our strong presence in Merseyside, Claire House Children’s Hospice is a charity that’s close to the hearts of everyone at David Wilson Homes.
“It’s a real privilege to have the opportunity to support the charities in the communities where we build, and we’re proud to continue our fundraising to support the incredible services provided for young people and their families at the hospice.
“Our charity ball was a huge success for the second year running, and we’re delighted to have raised £35,000 for Claire House.”
