Two young interior designers with Daventry-based Catering Design Group (CDG) have appeared on Catering Insight magazine’s Power List 2018.
24-year-old designer, Tansin Blankley has appeared on the listing under ‘The Young Trailblazers’ category which shines a light on the achievements of those already making their mark on the industry early in their careers.
Technical designer, Hazel Barnes from Daventry, also 24, appears on the listing under ‘Unsung Heroes’ category. She was singled out for her design skills, her aptitude to learn and her interest in the commercial kitchen and restaurant design sector.
Clare Nicholls, editor of Catering Insight magazine said: “The next generation is vital to the lifeblood of this sector, and ensuring that young people joining the industry are encouraged and praised for their efforts so far, is crucial to making sure that they stay within the sector and continue to develop their skills and knowledge.”
Phil Howard, managing director of Catering Design Group, said: “The commercial kitchen and restaurant design sector is a vibrant and challenging niche and we are fortunate to have a loyal and passionate team to support our business. We are absolutely thrilled that two of our young designers have been recognised in this way.”
For over 28 years, Catering Design Group has transformed commercial restaurant spaces within the business and industry, hospitality, education, retail and leisure sectors.
